To hollow out and round wood, you can use a variety of tools such as a chisel, gouge, or a carving knife to remove the wood from the inside and shape the outer edges. Start by marking the area you want to hollow out and then carefully remove the wood in layers, working from the center outwards. Once the hollowing is complete, you can use sandpaper or a rasp to round the edges and smooth out the surface. It's important to work slowly and carefully to achieve the desired shape and smooth finish. **

When drilling a round piece of wood, it is important to secure the wood in place using clamps or a vice to prevent it from spinning or moving during drilling. Additionally, it is crucial to mark the center of the wood accurately to ensure the hole is drilled in the desired location. Using a center punch to create a small indentation at the center point can help guide the drill bit. It is also important to choose the right size and type of drill bit for the specific project and wood type. Finally, drilling at a slow and steady pace while applying consistent pressure can help prevent splintering or cracking of the wood. **
