The housing costs for basic income can vary depending on the specific program and the location. In some cases, basic income may be designed to cover a portion of housing costs, such as rent or mortgage payments. In other cases, recipients may be expected to use their basic income to cover their housing expenses. Additionally, the level of basic income provided may not always be sufficient to cover the full cost of housing, especially in high-cost areas. Therefore, recipients may need to supplement their basic income with other sources of income or seek out affordable housing options. **

The paid basic parental allowance is credited towards housing benefit as income. This means that it will be taken into account when calculating the amount of housing benefit a person is entitled to receive. The parental allowance will be considered as part of the household's overall income, and the housing benefit will be adjusted accordingly. It's important for parents receiving the basic parental allowance to report this income to their local housing benefit office to ensure that their housing benefit is accurately calculated. **
